Dr. Bernie Siegel (who prefers to be called "Bernie") shares with our listeners how important it is for Doctors and Health Professionals to really learn about their patients so they don't just become a number in a hospital room, but a real live person with fears, thoughts. expectations and individual experiences when going through a health challenge.

He says his patients need to be 'respant' or a responsible participant if they want to heal and survive. We talk about many other interesting subjects on health and healing. I have had the great honour and pleasure to interview Bernie on several occasions on my previous shows and this time it was especially dear and close to my heart as I could easily relate perfectly to what he was sharing having just experienced emergency surgery, a diagnosis of colon cancer and a series of chemotherapy.
