Dear Friends

I am so thankful and blessed to have finished my chemo treatments and am now cancer FREE!
It was been a long, and very difficult journey with being told I had colon cancer, having an operation and then a week later to have a terrible infection. Then to undergo the chemo treatment both by pills and injections at the hospital and then on December 12, having my beloved husband pass away of a sudden heart attack in his sleep.

So many people ask me how I can and do keep going through all of this. My answer is simple, "What is the alternative?" I know my late husband Reg would want me to keep on living and doing what I love to do and that is to help people. I feel this is my life work.

Now I have a couple of requests - When I attended a Chemo Meditation Group at my local hospital I met some very wonderful and brave people. One of the group came up to me after my presentation and whispered to me (she suffers from throat cancer) "Thank you for coming you gave me HOPE, and another lady said, "We need strength to go on and thank you for sharing your strength with us and many other encouraging remarks  . . .  I decided right there and right then to create another website and this one - Affirmation Tools Working Together Harmoniously with Chemo and writing a book giving Affirmation Tools on how to handle the negative side effects of the drugs, sharing the ones that I used with great success.

One example when my hands become ice cold, numb, cold and I cannot seem to hold unto anything, I put my hands in front of my face and say, "Hands I love you and I bless you and I thank you for serving me so well all these years. I know it is not you that is causing this side effect, it is not my body, it is the drugs and THIS TOO SHALL PASS!" At times I would keep repeating it several times over and over until I felt the fear that would be permanent, etc. that seemed to well up from the bottom of my feet leave my body. This is only one of many Affirmation Tools that I used.

So I am asking you if  you, a family member or friend has been a chemo patient and if they would be willing to talk to me, to tell their story so I can publish it on my new and upcoming website - Affirmations Tools Working Together Harmoniously with Chemo.

It is my intention and Affirmation to publish stories of overcoming health issues so we can help others. I would be very interested to hear of the different methods they employed to help deal with the negative side effects. And No, using these Affirmation Tools did not make the side effects go away, but it did make it so it was easier to manage.

My favourite mantra through the last 10 months has been and still is -- 'This Too Shall Pass" and it does together with the good times and this is what we call LIFE!

Looking forward to hearing from you. Please send your replies to   annemarieevers@shaw.ca
and mark them AFFIRMATION TOOLS on the subject line.

And I also wish to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you who prayed and affirmed for me during my health challenge. I appreciate each and every one. God Bless you richly!
Love and Affirmation Blessings.  Reverend Dr. Anne Marie Evers
