Affirmations Your Passport to Happiness

Passport 2000+ Newsletter: Welcome to the Wonderful World of Affirmations

Friday, December 10, 2010

Hello everyone. Let’s talk about Christmas shall we?

How many of you are all ready for Christmas?
How many are not?
How many are excitedly looking forward to Christmas?
How many are dreading it?
How many are worried about family members being happy during the holidays?
How many are worried about cooking the Turkey Dinner?
How many are worried about how many presents you have purchased?
And on and on it goes ------

Today is a great time for reflection
Looking back over the year and seeing what you can change, do differently, etc.

No failures – no mistakes – just miss-steps
There is no such thing as the absolute right way because every person does it differently. The right way could turn out to be the wrong way for another person. There is only the CHOSEN WAY.

Do you need to forgive? Has it been eating you up? If so now is the time to forgive and let go. Are you holding a grudge or anger towards another person?
Tell it that it is not welcome in your wonderful body and get rid of it.

Every single person has people and things in their lives that need forgiveness ---- even when they tell me they have nothing to forgive --- there is always that certain person or circumstance that disappointed or hurt you. I could be an inconsiderate driver that cut you off on the way here, that clerk, that telephone solicitor that interrupted your dinner, your spouse who is moody or cranky. The kids, the neighbors, etc. etc. and on and on it goes.

Let’s do some emotional house cleaning before the New Year arrives.

Also when you get rid of negative feelings you will have such a better and happier Christmas.

Today there is much going on in the world that is very frightening and affects the lives of all of us. Uncertainty and fear of the unknown is running rampant.

Now is time to forgive and get anchored.

Have you ever been in a Lighthouse? I have had the privilege of visiting the one at Point Atkinson, West Vancouver, Canada. I was very impressed with all the magnifying glasses, etc. that are used to magnify the light that shines from it. Also just think that that light that shines out onto the ocean, to guide ships and people is not the least bit affected by the raging seas, stormy conditions, high winds, etc. No because it is of a different frequency.

If we can become centered and peaceful going back to source, God, Universal Mind, Higher Self or whomever you believe in and become so centered we can be like that Light House light that shines out into the world, not affected by the bad news of recession, cut-back, lay-offs, dirty politics, etc. etc., but we can hold steadfast in our beliefs and convictions – just think how powerful that is.

It goes like this---

Just after you have brushed your teeth or while brushing your teeth, look into the mirror and say, “Hey Self you are a mighty fine person. You are great, lovely, good looking,” etc. Then say, “I, (your name) now forgive everyone and everything that has ever hurt me. I now forgive myself. I love, respect and approve of myself just the way I am.”

This sets the scene for a happy Christmas Holiday or for any time of your life. When you say EVER it goes right back to creation -- when you were in your mother’s womb so if too many unhappy, negative memories surface, just say with great authority, “One at a time Please!” Then deal with that one and the next, etc. etc.

Make a clear slate for 2011. Decide that you will leave 2010’s baggage in 2010 – exactly where it belongs. You have a chance to do it all over again.

Never beat yourself up for what you deem mistakes, just say to yourself, “The next time I will do it differently,” and then do it!

You are the Captain of your Ship and the only decision maker in your world. Make this Christmas Holiday Season and coming 2011 the best ever in spite of what you hear and read. Look back in history and you will discover we, the people have been through difficult times, recessions before and survived. Find ways that you can survive in your own world, your own planet the only area over which you have complete control. You are in complete control of your thoughts, words and actions and perhaps it is time to sit up and take notice and take responsibility for your own thoughts, words, actions, etc.

Some people are suffering from a broken relationship or struggling with health or money issues and they find this a very depressing time of year.

There are people who need help, ones who are sad, depressed, feeling hopeless and lonely.

Others have lost a loved one. It is important to enjoy every time you have with your family and special people in your life on Christmas day or any time as you never know if that could be the last time you will see or be with that loved one.

It behooves you not to worry if you did not get the gift that you wanted. Do not sweat the small stuff. Never allow disappointment spoil the spirit, joy and meaning of Christmas. Remember you are the sole creator of your life. Create it as you wish. If you don’t like what is happening in your life today, then create something different. You created it and you and you alone have the power to ‘uncreate’ it.

It is a time to remember people less fortunate and to give, as you are able. If you are unable to give money, you can give of your time and energy by sending positive, happy thoughts to others in need, that helping hand or a cheery smile.

Remember you cannot change the whole world, but you can change your world, one new and positive thought, feeling, deed and action at a time.
And you are in complete control of your thoughts. No one can jump into your mind and think your thoughts for you, nor can you do that for anyone else.

I will be sharing ideas on how to create the best ever Christmas Presents even if you don't have a single cent in your pocket!

Yup, you guessed it right, make homemade presents. You'll be surprised how powerful this can be. It can be more powerful than giving your loved one a giant diamond ring.

When wrapping your homemade Christmas gifts, this year, stop and put thoughts of love into the wrapping paper and the gift itself. As you tie the brightly colored ribbons saturate them with thoughts of love, peace, joy and happiness.

Make up your own Christmas Traditions

One lady has her own Christmas tradition. She puts her kid’s first baby clothes--daughter's dress and son's sweater on the Christmas Tree, remembering Baby Jesus, who was born on Christmas day.

Another lady prepares green and red envelops and she writes on pieces of paper things she could offer her children that did not cost money such as – Going camping with them; spending time together; reading; drawing; fishing; just being; and different things that the children would want and enjoy.

She left some of the envelopes empty so that the children could fill them with their ideas and desires. She made Christmas gifts out of necessity that year which turned into enjoyment and fun for everyone.

Be extra aware of others and their feelings and don’t take things so seriously and feel that they are aimed at you.

If a person is grumpy, do not jump to the conclusion that it is aimed at you or take it personally, just know that he or she may have something going on in his or her life that is irritating, annoying or they could be experiencing worry or some physical pain or discomfort.

Do some Christmas forgiving - if you're not sure how to do this please go to my website and check out my book, Affirmations Your Passport to Happiness. Forgiveness heals even the deepest of wounds. You only hurt yourself if you don't forgive.

Encourage all members of the family to sign it. Keep it were it is visible and every one can see it.Remember your mind takes in every word and does not differentiate between a real and imagined event.

Also another idea is to make place cards at the table and sit people that usually get along well next to each other. This can make a huge difference in the Christmas dinner.

It is important to spend time with people, but there are times when it is not possible and in a situation like that it is good to experience what being with yourself is like.

Pay attention to your breath; look outside at the moon, stars and entire solar system. Think of the wonderful magnetic power of it all. Become aware of others and most of all become comfortable with yourself. You need alone time to get acquainted with YOU--the most important person in your Universe! No, that is NOT selfish. It is not selfish to have and enjoy a healthy, balanced, Divine love of self. In the Bible it tells us to love our neighbors AS ourselves.

Enjoy some quiet time. Read book, listen to music, nourish your soul, do things that are comforting to you.

Light a candle and watch it burn.

Pink for romantic and family love;
Red for energy and vitality;
Green for peace and prosperity;
White for spiritual;
Blue for health.
Burn one candle at a time and focus on the flame and your intention and wish.

Meditate—If you have never meditated before, keep it simple.

Clear your mind
Find a quiet place
Close your eyes
Repeat one word over and over. That word is ‘Peaceful, Peaceful.' When other thoughts come just allow them to come and go while focusing on that powerful word peaceful. I do it all the time and it works great for me.

Ask The Christmas Angel to be with you, your family and your time together at Christmas and always. The name of the Christmas Angel that I communicate with is Angelica.

Do not be so worried about buying Christmas gifts. Christmas is not all about gifts; it is also about family and friends being together sharing, caring and enjoying happy fellowship. The amount of money that you spend on a gift should not be the most important thing.

Stop focusing on what you are getting for Christmas spend more time around the Tree and singing family carols, etc.. Think of ways you can ease another’s burdens or load. What can I do to help that person?

Hints for Donating
When you see a person sitting on the street begging for money and if you wish to donate, gently bend down and with love give that gift. I have seen people standing and throwing or dropping money at a person and I think to myself – But for the Grace of God there go all of us.

Loving self-- Become a ‘Love Magnet’ to the right people and right circumstances always remembering to give the greatest gift that you can give and that is ‘The Gift of Yourself!'

Decide to be happy. Get up in the morning and say, "Today, I am happy."

Have a budget when spending at the Holiday Season and stick with it and don't overspend. If you do, you may find yourself suffering from the January 2011 Blues!

Be aware that we live in a Universe of Universal Laws. One of the Universal Laws is the Law of Cause and Effect. In this case what you spend is the cause and the effect of that is the bills coming in to be paid. Always affirm and maintain balance in your life in every thing you do.

Call a friend whom you have not talked to lately. Practice Empathic Listening. We were given two ears and one mouth at birth. Listen and really hear what that person is saying. Do not be so focused on what you are going to say next that you do not hear what they are saying. One good way to let others know you are listening is to ask pertinent questions and then wait silently and sometimes patiently for the answers.

Realize that there are ups and downs and rhythms and go with that rhythm and let yourself relax and be who you are. Never compare yourself or your situation with others. Be thrilled to be WHO you are and when seeking that special romantic love partner, I suggest that –YOU BE WHO YOU WISH TO ATTRACT!

When disappointed with the actions of others, look at what your expectations are. Then ask yourself –

Is this reasonable, why does it have to be that way?
Who appointed me to write another’s earthy exams?
Why am I attempting to control others?
Am I too rigidly attached to my old beliefs and expectations?"
If the answers are 'Yes,' you have the power to change all that starting right here and right now!TODAY!

Think about things in a different way. Be open to new possibilities. Listen to other’s opinions, ideas and suggestions and take those that resonate with you and incorporate them into your life.

Don't expect too much of others or expect them to act as you do. Expand your mind. Be open to learning new things.

Do the Magic Magnetic Circle Process

Magic Magnetic Christmas Circle Exercise

Get up in the morning, stretch, take several deep breaths, breathing out negativity and breathing in positivity, happiness, peace and joy. Stand in front of the window and with both your arms outstretched from your sides, turn slowly around from left to right (clockwise) and say,

"I, (your name), now magnetize from the Creator of all, sun, moon, stars, the entire solar system and the entire Universe into my Magic Magnetic Circle (my aura), peace, joy, love, health, happiness and prosperity to myself, which extends to everyone I meet. This is done to the good of all parties concerned. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I fully accept this Affirmation on this date.”
And so it is!

Then go on about your day and really see and feel how different you experience your daily life. Let me know how it goes.

When you are upset with a situation, say to your negative feelings, “Cancel, cancel, this is not true-- I am peaceful, happy and fulfilled." These words have helped me through many a crisis and unhappy situation in my life.

Go out doors --Go for walk--Get fresh Air. You never know what you will see -you may see something that renews, encourages, gives you hope, and makes you happy.

If you are where there is snow--Have a fun sleigh ride together enjoy, laugh and have fun. Make a Snow Angel. Make a Snowman, Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus and the Elves--enjoy.

Enjoy a hot chocolate in front of the fireplace with your special person and/or family. Totally relax your entire body.

Look for and enjoy the wonderful, free things of life.

Stop and enjoy AND bless a pretty flower, a tree, mountain, stream or any of God's Creations. Enjoy nature, parks, creeks, mountains, the air we breathe the sun, etc.

Hug a Tree and see what happens. When I do this, I actually feel the tree hugging me back!!!
